If a pre-authorization has been blocked within the framework of the car rental agreement, our company, Avalon Care Services Kft, will appear exclusively as an acceptance point in the process, the process itself is always regulated by your bank account agreement and the
relevant international card acquiring standards.

Following the business policy of our company - if everything was fine with the car rental and the rental fee was settled - the pre-authorization will be cancelled as soon as possible after the rental, but no later than the end of the given working day. In our experience, the process of related administration has been significantly accelerated, so the cancellation of a pre-authorization in Hungary is usually done immediately, but no later than within 2-3 working days, and in the case of international transactions, within 4-5 working days.

If this does not happen, then according to point 12.7.2.3 of the “Payment Card Acceptance Manual”, the cardholder can initiate a complaint at his / her account management bank, which will require the bank slip received at the time of cancellation or a statement from the acceptance point about the cancellation, in which our colleagues are happy to help You 24/7.
In case of any problem related to a bank card or pre-authorization, we can help you at the e-mail address [email protected], and if necessary, we will send you a copy of the bank slip confirming the cancellation and / or an authentic confirmation that our company had the pre-authorization and no longer claims the amount.

Important information for you may be that, under the regulations of international card companies, it is not possible in any case for the pre-authorization to last for more than 28 days, so that pre-authorizations will be cancelled after a maximum of 28 days, regardless of revocation or possible complaint.

Of course, our rental cars can be used for international travel — within all EU countries, and in most non-EU countries as well, with a few exceptions. It is important to inform us in advance if you plan to travel abroad! Please note that international use involves a one-time extra fee, which will be shown during the online reservation of the selected vehicle.

For domestic rentals, all our rates include unlimited mileage. However, when traveling abroad, a mileage limit applies as follows:

• 1-day rental: 500 km/day

• 2–4 days rental: 400 km/day

• 5–7 days rental: 300 km/day

• 8–13 days rental: 250 km/day

AVALON Rent a Car accepts driving licenses issued outside the EU. However, please note that local authorities (e.g. the police) may require an international driving permit. We strongly recommend checking the relevant regulations before your rental.

Of course, it is possible to request a child seat with your rental car for an additional fee. When booking online, you can select the appropriate child seat from the available extras based on age, weight, and height.

Of course, it is possible to rent a car for just a few hours. However, rental fees are always calculated in 24-hour periods, so in these cases the full 1-day rental fee is charged.

To rent a car, you will need an identity card or passport, a license and a credit card. Our colleague who arrives at the venue will take the contract with them, which will be filled out together at the time of handover.

At both pick-up and return, our colleagues thoroughly inspect each rental vehicle. If any new damage is suspected at the time of return, it is documented. Then, our fleet managers compare the vehicle's condition with the previous inspection report at our premises. This step helps to ensure that the damage was not pre-existing.

After the evaluation, the fleet manager informs the customer whether the damage is indeed new. If so, they will also explain the potential compensation amount, which is determined based on an official damage assessment.

You can also pay by credit card and cash. If you book your car in advance or want to extend it later, you can of course pay by bank transfer.
